Fashion model and entrepreneur, Shelissa Kemplin Kearney, is the creator of Shelissa's Lip Balm Company. She has a background in Biology from the University of Maryland and Modern Language and Linguistics at Harvard University. Shelissa's experience in the beauty & fashion industry along with her academic background led to the creation of the parent company, My Beauty Farm, and from there Shelissa's Lip Balm Company developed. She embraces eco-friendly products in her home as well as in her skin care choices. Shelissa has modeled in ads and runway shows for the Ala Moana Fashion Center, Max Mara, Saks, Chanel, Bebe, Red Dirt; and made an appearance at the LPGA Tour in Honolulu.
Shelissa has walked the catwalk for world-famous designers including Reem Acra, Hanae Mori, Betsey Johnson, Pamela Dennis, Chanel, and Vivienne Westwood. Her face has graced the covers of nationwide fashion and beauty magazines and has done printwork and appeared in ads for Goldwell Hair Care, Sebastian Hair Care & Cosmetics, Head Tennis Corporation, Nextel, Mikimoto, the DuPont family, Wireless, American Salon, Honolulu Star, DC One, Lucky, Washingtonian, and Baltimore magazine. Shelissa has received several prestigious awards in modeling including two IMTA awards in New York City. Work in film and television include: HBO, HGTV, Lipton, and Warner Bros. productions.
